Labdanum is a dark viscous essential oil with a musky aroma that has been used in perfumery for over 3000 years. It is 100% pure and natural, and has many benefits, including combating mature skin and wrinkles, assisting with the treatment of bronchitis, coughs and colds, and being an antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, balsamic, expectorant, and tonic. It blends well with bergamot, clary sage, cypress, juniper berry, lavender, patchouli, pine, and vetiver. Labdanum ingredients include pure rock rose essential oil (Cistus labdanum). To use labdanum, add 5-6 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water, cover your head with a towel and breathe in the vapour, dilute 2 drops in a teaspoon of olive oil and rub under your nose, on the chest, or around the neck, blend a few drops with a natural aqueous cream or particular carrier oil for skin applications, or add a few drops to a little water in one of our oil burners. Avoid use during pregnancy.
